Residential-first is a real strength, and a real constraint

The constraint is what sits outside that. Most UK cleaning companies that grow do not stay purely domestic. They add end of tenancy work, then office contracts, then multi-site commercial. That transition brings requirements a residential-first product does not need to solve: per-site cleaning specifications, contract-level reporting, compliance documentation and multi-site staff allocation.
CleanFlo handles domestic rounds and commercial contracts in the same system, which matters most at exactly the point a business is growing and least when it is not.
The UK gap
This is the clearest practical difference. ZenMaid is a US product serving a US market: sales tax rather than VAT, US payment rails rather than BACS, dollars rather than pounds.
None of that makes it unusable in the UK, but it means the invoice you send is not natively the invoice a UK client expects, and your accountant will notice. A UK VAT invoice needs a VAT registration number, net and VAT shown separately, the tax point, and, because most UK commercial clients pay by bank transfer: a sort code, account number and reference.

Compliance is the other divide
UK cleaning contractors carry documentation obligations that US residential cleaners largely do not: COSHH assessments for every hazardous product and task, site-specific risk assessments, method statements, training records, and an incident log.
Commercial clients ask for these during tenders as standard. Facilities management providers will not engage a sub-contractor without them.
