The short version
Declining costs you nothing. Every page, every calculator and every guide on this site works identically whether you accept or decline. The only thing we lose is knowing which pages people read.
What is stored, and why
Your cookie choice (essential). A single value in your browser's local storage recording that you answered the cookie bar, so it does not reappear on every page. This never leaves your device and cannot be used to identify you. It has no expiry: clearing your browser data for this site removes it and brings the bar back.
Analytics (only if you accept). Measures which pages are read, how people move between them, and which free tools get used, so we know what to write next. Nothing is loaded until you have accepted.
Nothing for advertising. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party marketing tags on this site, whichever way you answer.
Changing your mind
Your answer is stored on your device rather than in an account, so it is yours to remove. Clear this site's data through your browser settings, usually under Privacy, then site data, and the cookie bar returns on your next visit so you can answer differently.
Most browsers can also block cookies wholesale. Doing so has no effect on how this site behaves, for the reason above.
The application
This policy covers the marketing site only. The CleanFlo application needs a session cookie to keep you signed in; that is strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for and is covered by the terms you accept when you create an account.
