Privacy policy
What we collect when you use cleanflo.io, why we collect it, and how to tell us to stop.
To finish: the registered company name and number, the registered address, and the email address data requests should go to. Until those are filled in, this policy is not binding and should not be relied on.
Who this covers
This policy covers cleanflo.io, the public marketing site. The CleanFlo application at app.cleanflo.io handles your business data. Your staff, clients, sites and invoices, and is governed by the terms and privacy notice you accept when you create an account there.
What this site collects
This site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no contact forms. It does not ask you for your name, your email address or any payment detail. The free calculators run entirely in your browser: the figures you type into them are never transmitted to us and never stored anywhere but your own device for the length of the visit.
What is collected is limited to:
- Your cookie choice. When you accept or decline on the cookie bar, that single answer is stored in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again. It never leaves your device.
- Server request logs. Our hosting provider records standard web-server information: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time: to serve the site and defend it from abuse.
- Analytics, if you accept. If you accept cookies we measure which pages are read and how people move through the site. If you decline, this is not loaded.
To finish: name the analytics provider actually in use, its data-retention period, and whether it transfers data outside the UK. Name the hosting provider and how long its request logs are kept.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Server logs are processed under legitimate interests, running a website securely is not possible without them. Analytics and any non-essential cookie are processed under consent, which is why nothing non-essential loads until you have said yes, and why you can withdraw that at any time.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. The only third parties involved are the suppliers who make the site work: the host that serves it, the font service that delivers its typefaces, and the analytics provider if you have accepted cookies. Each acts on our instructions.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict that use. You can also withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the cookie bar back.
We answer requests within one month. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after that date means the revised policy applies.
