The round and the rota are different shapes
A round is a sequence: the same houses, in the same order, every four weeks, and the work is to get through it efficiently and collect the money without chasing. Squeegee is built on that sequence. Jobs group into rounds, the round plans on a map, the navigation optimises, and a completed job invoices and collects itself.
A rota is an allocation: which cleaner is at which site, doing which specification, with which key, at which hour. That is what CleanFlo is built on, because that is the shape a cleaning company takes once it has staff and contracts rather than a list of houses.
Plenty of businesses are both, and the honest answer for those is to look at which half is actually costing you evenings. If it is the sequence and the collection, that is Squeegee. If it is who is where and what the client is going to ask for, that is this one.
Collection, said plainly
This is the clearest thing Squeegee does that CleanFlo does not, and the page would not be worth reading if it were buried. Squeegee can hold a Direct Debit mandate for your customer through GoCardless and charge them when the work is completed, or keep a card on file with Stripe.
CleanFlo holds no mandate. It raises a VAT invoice from the completed job with your sort code, account number and a unique payment reference on it, tracks whether it has been paid, chases it, and stops the moment it lands. If you supply a pay-now URL, that goes on the invoice too. What it will never do is take money from a household on its own.
For a commercial book that is the right shape, because offices and letting agents pay by bank transfer on terms and would not sign a mandate if you asked. For a hundred domestic houses at forty pounds a visit, it is not, and that is the sentence a domestic round should act on.
Compliance is the other direction
Their plan feature list carries custom forms, which is a fair way to build a checklist and a poor way to hold a risk assessment. CleanFlo scores the assessment: a likelihood and a severity on a 5×5 for every hazard, a second pair for the residual risk once the controls are in, and a hazard nobody scored is printed as not scored rather than banded as though it were.
Those scores roll into a compliance score out of 100 with every deduction named, dated and capped by category, so a facilities manager asking what your safety position is gets a position rather than a folder. Incidents log by severity, audits schedule themselves, and waste transfer notes carry a carrier registration checked against the regulator rather than typed in.
On a domestic round none of that is asked for and it is weight. On the day you bid for a school, a surgery or an office block it is the thing being asked for, and building it afterwards takes the fortnight you do not have.
Where this lands
Squeegee is a good product and it beats this one at the two things a round-based business cares most about: planning the round and collecting the money automatically. It also does your books. If you clean windows or run a domestic round on your own or with one other person, that is the answer.
CleanFlo is the answer at the point the business stops being a round: staff you employ, sites with specifications, clients who ask for paperwork, and a price that does not move when you hire. Both have a free trial. Put the same awkward week into each.
